What is SideDrawer?

SideDrawer is a collaborative digital vault, designed to support Security, Organization, and Collaboration.

Security: Data encryption, password/MFA access,

Organization: Consistent layout and structure makes files easy to locate

Collaboration: Share access with clients and third parties while retaining data ownership and control


SideDrawer Rollout

1. Discovery Call - 30 Minutes

This is your intro call with our Support Team

  • Call between your leadership and our Support team

  • Product tour/refresher

  • Tell us about your business, and how you want to use SideDrawer – this will help us configure our environment and prepare your training

2. Training - 60 Minutes

  • Hands-on session with your full team (if possible

  • Walk through core SideDrawer functions – Drawer creation and client onboarding, Info Requests and Content Packages, Notifications

  • Discuss customization and roadmap to client onboarding


These materials will help you prepare for the training call, or you can use them as refreshers after the training:

3. Resource Building

Now that you know the basics, it’s time to get your SideDrawer environment ready for clients!

During this phase, you will take the lead in setting up the materials you need for your clients, with support from our team as needed

4. Client Communication (pre-onboarding)

Once your environment and resources are set up, you’re ready to start inviting clients – almost!
Adoption of a new platform is much stronger if you communicate with your clients before inviting them to SideDrawer

  • Build trust & set expectations – letting your clients know that the invitation is coming reassures them that it’s legitimate, and lets them know what to expect

  • Tell them why – give clients a quick explanation of why you’re partnering with SideDrawer, and what’s in it for them

  • Use our resources! Check the link below for client introduction videos, and see your shared SideDrawer for an email template

5. Client Onboarding

Create client SideDrawers and start inviting your clients, advisors, and third-party users!

  • Build your SideDrawers, deliver Info Requests and Content Packages

  • Invite clients during SideDrawer creation, or later on

  • Manage invitations & follow-up

  • Guide clients through account creation & login

6. Refinement

Once you’ve onboarded your first set of clients, you’ll probably get some feedback, from your internal team and from your clients.
We recommend building in some time to analyze and make adjustments, to fine-tune your workflows and improve the experience

Our Support team is here to assist you through all steps of this process!

We are very hands-on in the early stages, through your initial training.
As you set up your environment, we’re available as resources to assist and advise.
Once you’re onboarding clients, we’re available to you and to your clients, to smooth out the onboarding process and help get everyone successfully registered and logged in.
