Login and Login Troubleshooting: Password Reset, MFA Reset, Email Change

This article is for all SideDrawer users

Note: this article covers logging in to your existing SideDrawer account, and troubleshooting issues that can come up during login
For setting up a new SideDrawer account, follow the instructions here

Logging into SideDrawer

  1. Go to the Login Page
    Enter the URL or bookmarked site for your professional (e.g. cinderellashop.sidedrawer.com)
    This will bring you to the SideDrawer login page for your professional

  2. Enter your Email Address
    Enter the email address that was used for your invitation, then select Continue

  3. Enter your Password
    Type the password for your SideDrawer account, then select Log In
    The password will be hidden - click the eye icon to show the password as you type

  4. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
    You'll be sent a 6-digit code, either by SMS/text message or through the Authenticator app, whichever you selected when registering for SideDrawer
    Enter the code, then select the button below to continue
    Note: You may not be asked for MFA every time, depending on your security settings

  5. You're in!
    Now you can upload files, view files, fill out Info Requests, and keep organizing your life!

Bookmarking your Login Page

Simplify your login steps by creating a bookmark in your web browser - that way, you won't have to type the URL every time!

Remember: log in first, then create the bookmark!
This will ensure that your bookmark links to the right login page
The page URL you bookmark should always be [professional site].sidedrawer.com

Don't bookmark the login page (auth.sidedrawer.com) - this will just confuse your browser!


Troubleshooting

1. Password Reset

If you forget your password, you can reset it from the login page!

  1. On the login page, select Can't log in?


  2. Check your email address, and select Send reset instructions


    Reset instructions will be sent to your email, and you'll see a confirmation on the login screen:

  3. Check your email!
    You'll see an email with the subject Password Change Request
    In the email, select Change your Password

  4. Change Password
    Clicking the link in the email will open the Change Password page in your browser
    Type in your new password, then re-enter it to confirm, and select the orange button below to complete.
    Remember: Passwords must be at least 8 characters, and must contain at least 3 of: upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, special characters

  5. Log in with new password!
    Now go back to the login page, and use your new password to log in!

2. Change MFA Settings

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is used every time you log into SideDrawer.
You set your preference in your My Account settings, to activate MFA only on some logins, or to skip MFA entirely.

To change your MFA settings:

  1. Select My Account from the left-hand menu in your SideDrawer

  2. In the My Account screen, select Security Settings

  3. Choose your Security Level:

    1. Every time I log into SideDrawer:
      Highest security
      MFA required for each login

    2. Only when SideDrawer wants to confirm my identity
      Medium security
      MFA required when you log in from a new device, different IP address, new location, or for periodic security checks

    3. Skip multi-factor authentication
      Lowest security
      Login will only require email address + password, no MFA

      Select Save my preference to confirm & complete!

3. MFA Reset

You may need to reset multi-factor authentication if you:

  • Get a new phone/new phone number

  • Reset/re-install Authenticator App

  • Want to switch from Authenticator App to SMS/text message

  • Want to switch from SMS/text message to Authenticator App

MFA Reset needs to be done by the SideDrawer IT Team, so you'll need to contact us with the request

You can click on the chat icon at the bottom right of your SideDrawer screen, and follow the steps to request an MFA reset

Make sure to include your full name and the email address connected to your SideDrawer account

For security purposes, we will ask some authentication questions in order to proceed.
Once the MFA is reset, we'll let you know in the chat or email that it's complete.

Go back to the Login Page, enter your email and password, and you'll be prompted to set up MFA again, following the same steps that you used when setting up your account.

During business hours (9:00 - 5:00 EST, Monday - Friday), MFA reset can be completed within an hour
Outside of business hours, the request will be queued, to be worked by the team on the next business day

4. Change Social Logins

If you selected a social login when setting up your account (Apple ID, Google ID, Facebook, etc.), and you want to change to log in with email + password, we can help!

For security, this reset is managed by the SideDrawer IT team, so you'll need to contact us, using the chat icon at the bottom right of the SideDrawer screen, or by email at [email protected]

Make sure to include your full name, and the email address connected to your SideDrawer account

For security purposes, we will ask some authentication questions in order to proceed.
Once the login is reset, we'll let you know in the chat or email that it's complete.

Go back to the Login Page, enter your email and password, and follow the prompts to set up your new login.

5. Update Email

Your email address acts as your user ID for your SideDrawer account - this is what lets professionals invite you securely to SideDrawer.

If your email address changes, or you need to update SideDrawer to link to a different email account, we can help with that!

You can initiate an email change request through the chat button at the bottom right of the SideDrawer screen, or by email at [email protected].
Make sure to provide your full name, the current email address on your account, and the new email address you're requesting.

For security purposes, we will ask some authentication questions in order to proceed.
Once the email is updated, we'll let you know in the chat or email that it's complete.

Go back to the Login Page, enter your updated email address, and you'll be taken through the registration steps, to create a password, set up MFA, etc.

The email address is an integral part of your SideDrawer account, so a reset may take 3-5 business days to complete
