Adding and managing Admin Users in Console

The Admin Users menu shows the users who have access to your Console
You can manage users' permissions from this page, or view the details of their access

Admin User Roles

Owner: usually the business owner, this user is the registered owner of the SideDrawer account, and the holder of the credit card for the account

Tenant Manager: has full admin access to the Console, including all clients, resources, and settings

Brand Manager: has admin access within a specific brand, and can view and edit client accounts, resources, and settings for that brand

Search/Filter

Use this field to search a particular user, or filter to get a list of all instances of a role or team

Table Fields Configuration

Use this control to determine which fields are displayed in the chart, and their position in the row.

  • Username (Email) shows the email address linked to the user's account
    This is a permanent element in this user's account

  • Full Name shows the name that the user entered when registering their account
    Users can edit Full Name in their My Account settings, so this entry may change over time

  • System Role is the permission level for this user: Owner, Tenant Manager, or Brand Manager

  • Brand Code shows which brand the user has permissions for - this mostly applies to Brand Managers

  • Registration Date: the date that the user accepted their invitation and registered their account
    This field will show as Pending Registration if you've invited a user but they haven't registered yet
    Once a user registers, their Registration Date is locked in, and will always show the same date

  • Last Log In: once a user registers, this field will show the date of their most recent login
    Last Log In is a dynamic field, so it will update every time the user logs in
    You can use this field to get a high-level view of which clients are active in the system - very useful around February-March, if you need to start preparing for tax season

Export to CSV

Save all current fields to a .csv file - useful for recording a snapshot of completion data as of a given date.

Invite Admin User

Use this function to invite a new user and give them admin access - as opposed to granting admin access to an existing user.

  1. Click on Invite Admin Users at the upper right

  2. Enter the user's Email Address

  3. Enter their Full Name

  4. Select their Role - Tenant Manager (full environment) or Brand Manager (specific brand only)

  5. Click Confirm at the lower right


The user will receive an invitation to register for SideDrawer, and will get access to your Console

Admin Users Actions Menu

Click on the 3 dots icon to the right of a user's name to open the Action Menu

  1. View Details
    As in the Clients & Users menu, this option will open the Details screen to show which drawers this Admin User has access to
    Note that this will only show drawers where the user has been added as an individual owner or Collaborator, not ones that they access as part of a Team

  2. Delete Management Role
    Removes Console access for this user - they will stay as a user in your environment, retaining their access to drawers, but will no longer have access to Console and back-office functions
    Their entry will move from the Admin Users menu to Clients & Users, retaining the username, registration date, and last log in

  3. Add to a Team
    Opens a menu of your existing Teams
    Click the check box to the left of a Team listing, then click Confirm to add the user to the Team
