The SideDrawers menu shows all Drawers created in your environment, whether for clients or for internal use
If your drawers are mostly for individuals or households, you may see a lot of overlap between the SideDrawers menu and the Clients & Users menu.
The important distinction to keep in mind is that the SideDrawers menu shows the drawers themselves, the separate digital vaults that you manage for your clients, while the Clients & Users menu shows you the people, the individual clients, professionals, and family members who access those digital vaults.
From this menu, you can view, search, and manage the Drawers created in your environment, and create new Drawers.
SideDrawer ID: this is a permanent unique identifier for each Drawer - the SideDrawer ID will show in the URL for that Drawer in the front-end app
SideDrawer Name: the name of the SideDrawer as it appears in the front-end app. While the SideDrawer ID is permanent, the Name can be edited by a Collaborator with Owner or Editor permission
Type: the template for this SideDrawer.
Each Drawer's Type will determine the set of Tiles in that Drawer's structure (Individual, Business, Unstructured, Custom)
Brand Code: the branding template for this SideDrawer.
Most environments just use one Brand Code, with your logo, colours, and UX settings; but if you have affiliates set up, you may have multiple brands within your organization that pertain to different Drawers and clients
As with the Clients & Users menu, you can use the Search/Filter bar to locate particular Drawers, click on a menu heading to sort entries, use the Configuration button (to the right of the Search/Filter bar) to select which headings are displayed, and use the Export button (to the right of the Configuration button) to save the current list of drawers in a .csv file
Select Create a new SideDrawer at the upper right to launch the SideDrawer creation workflow

Send Info Request
Send Info Request
Info Requests ask users to answer questions, provide demographic information, or upload specific documents.
Use this function to send one or more Info Requests to a client's Drawer.
This function is useful when you need to set up a Drawer for a new client, or when an Info Request was missed during Drawer creation.
If you need to deliver Info Requests to multiple clients or Drawers, you should go to the Productivity > Info Requests menu instead, to select the Info Request and send to multiple recipients at once
Use the Search bar to locate the Info Request(s) you want to send, and click to select them
Remember that you can't send the same Info Request to a Drawer twice, to prevent duplication - any Info Requests that were already sent to the Drawer will appear on this list, grayed out, and will show as part of the Selected total at the bottom left.
Once you've selected your Info Request(s), click Confirm at the lower right to send them.
Deliver a Content Package
Deliver a Content Package
Content Packages deliver folders and/or files to a client's Drawer - use them to populate the Drawer with generic files (welcome letters, general contracts, instruction sheets), or to add a folder structure within the Drawer's Tiles.
Use this function to send one or more Content Packages to a client's Drawer.
This function is useful when you need to set up a Drawer for a new client, or when a Content Package was missed during Drawer creation.
If you need to deliver Info Requests to multiple clients or Drawers, you should go to the Productivity > Content Packages menu instead, to select the Content Package and send to multiple recipients at once
Use the Search bar to locate the Content Package(s) you want to send, and click to select them.
Unlike Info Requests, the same Content Package *can* be delivered to a Drawer multiple times, so you may need to check the Drawer in the front end to make sure you don't duplicate files or folders.
Once you've selected the Content Packages you need, click Confirm to send them.
Bulk Upload
Bulk Upload
Bulk Upload lets you create folders and upload files directly in the client's Drawer.
Use this feature if you're creating Drawers for existing clients, and need to transfer files from your local storage to the client's Drawer.
Like the Upload Files flow in the front-end app, Bulk Upload brings up an upload pop-up, where you can select files and set out where in the Drawer they'll be delivered
Use the cloud/upload icon in the top bar to select multiple files and create a separate Record/destination for each file
Use the middle bar to select Tile and Record destinations, setting out category and folder names, then use the cloud icon at the right to open your folders and select files to upload
To upload different sets of files to different destinations (Tile + Record), click on Add a Record to this SideDrawer to open more destinations
When you have your files and destinations selected, click on Confirm to upload the files
Navigate to Front-End App
Navigate to Front-End App
These action items all open the front-end app, to take you directly into one part of the selected SideDrawer
View SideDrawer Records: Opens the selected drawer and takes you to the Records page
Manage SideDrawer Settings: Opens the selected drawer and takes you to the Manage SideDrawer menu
Manage SideDrawer Collaborators: Opens the selected drawer and takes you to the Collaborators menu
Change Brand of this SideDrawer
Change Brand of this SideDrawer
If your environment is set up with multiple brands or affiliates, you can change a drawer from one brand setting to another
This is useful if you have an affiliate created for an advisor who then leaves, and you need to transition their drawers to a different advisor, or to the main environment branding
Manage Metadata
Manage Metadata
If you need to add metadata fields after SideDrawer creation, or if you need to update existing metadata values for the drawer, you can do that here
Metadata values are used for certain kinds of integrations, for example if you want to link a SideDrawer to an account in Salesforce
Enter the Field Name (e.g. Account ID), then the Field Value (the client's account ID)
If you need to add multiple metadata fields, click on Add new Metadata to add as many rows as you need
When you have entered all the necessary fields and values, click on Submit to complete
Collaborate with this SideDrawer
Collaborate with this SideDrawer
If you need to access a client's drawer, and you haven't been added as a Collaborator (either individually or through a Team), use this function to add yourself from the Console, so that you can access the drawer in the front end.
You'll be added to the drawer as an Editor at the SideDrawer level.
If you only need temporary access, you can delete yourself from the drawer when you're finished, using the Collaborators menu.
You'll be asked to Confirm - note that other Collaborators (including clients) will be informed that you were added to the SideDrawer
Transfer ownership of this SideDrawer
Transfer ownership of this SideDrawer
Note that you can only transfer ownership if you are currently the owner of the drawer
Use this function to transfer ownership of a SideDrawer to someone else.
The new owner can be an already-registered user, like an admin or a client, or can be someone outside your system - they'll get an invitation email and will need to register before they can access the drawer.
The most common use for this function is to switch ownership between admins on your team, if there's a personnel change or a change in email address.
In the pop-up, enter the email address for the new owner, and either type or select a relationship - you can also fill in their name (optional).
When the details are entered, select Transfer Ownership to complete the transfer.
The drawer stays within your environment, linked to your account, so this is not a good option if you're offboarding a client - in that situation, contact [email protected], and we can help transition the offboarded drawer to the client's own account.
