Manage your SideDrawer account

Go to My Account to update personal information, change preferences, and manage payment details

Select My Account at the lower left of your SideDrawer screen

Personal Information

  1. Name
    You can edit the way your name will display in SideDrawer.
    This will affect the way your name appears in email notifications, and in the SideDrawer Timeline
    Edit the First Name and Last Name fields as desired, then select Update to complete

  2. Date of Birth
    You can add a Date of Birth to your account in this field
    This will provide us with additional information to use if we ever need to validate your account

  3. Language Preference
    You can change your language preference here, to choose the language that SideDrawer will use for the platform and notifications.
    Current options: English (CA), English (US), Spanish (Latin America), French (CA)

  4. Full Address
    Your country selection will be pre-populated from your registration details.
    You can add a complete address in this line, to provide us with additional information to use if we ever need to validate your account

  5. Email Address
    Your email address acts as your user ID for your SideDrawer account.
    The email address will display in this line, but can't be edited.

    If you need to update the email address for your account, please contact us at [email protected] - make sure to include your full name, current account email address, and the new email address you're requesting.

  6. Activate personal notifications
    Toggle Timeline Notifications on or off.
    When turned off, you will no longer receive email notifications about activity in the SideDrawer (file uploads, new Records, new Collaborators, etc.)
    Other notifications, such as Info Requests, Reminders, or invitations, will not be affected.

Security Settings

From the Security Settings menu, you can adjust the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setting for your account

Choose your Security Level:

  1. Every time I log into SideDrawer:
    Highest security
    MFA required for each login

  2. Only when SideDrawer wants to confirm my identity
    Medium security
    MFA required when you log in from a new device, different IP address, new location, or for periodic security checks

  3. Skip multi-factor authentication
    Lowest security
    Login will only require email address + password, no MFA

    Select Save my preference to confirm & complete!

  4. If you need to reset MFA, to change the phone number associated with your account, or set up a new integration for Authenticator App, email us at [email protected] to request an MFA Reset
    Make sure to include your full name and the email address associated with your account.
    We will ask some authentication questions, and can then reset MFA for you!

Payment Methods

Note: if you were invited to SideDrawer by a professional, you don't need to set up a payment method/credit card for your account!

For personal SideDrawer accounts, you can use this menu to set up a credit card for payment, or to change the credit card on file

Select Add New Card to set up a payment:


Enter your credit card number, expiry date, VCC, name on card, and country of residence, then select Save Card to complete

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are only relevant for users with personal SideDrawer accounts - if you've been invited to a SideDrawer by a professional, and have a branded SideDrawer account, your SideDrawer is covered under the professional's subscription

Note: in order to add a paid subscription, you'll need to first set up a credit card in the Payment Methods menu
