This article is for: all SideDrawer users

As a SideDrawer user, you may get Info Requests from time to time, as your professional asks you for details or documents.
This article covers what Info Requests are, and how you'll see them and work with them in your SideDrawer

What Is an Info Request?

An Info Request is a tool that your professional uses within SideDrawer, to ask you for information
Most often, they'll ask for important demographic details like your name, date of birth, or address, or for relevant documents, like insurance policies or financial statements

Info Requests are designed to make collecting that information easy and secure, since you can fill out everything within the protected SideDrawer environment, so that none of your private information or files go out over email.

Info Request Notifications

When an Info Request is sent to your SideDrawer, you'll get an email notification
The notification will list the sender of the Info Request, its name, and the name of the SideDrawer it was sent to
Clicking on the link button will take you to the SideDrawer login page, then to the Info Requests section of your SideDrawer, where you can get started!

Info Requests in your SideDrawer

When a new Info Request is sent to your SideDrawer, you'll see a red notification icon in the Info Requests menu item on the left
The number shows how many new Info Requests are in the SideDrawer:

Click on the menu item to view the Info Requests section of your SideDrawer
Here you will see any uncompleted Info Requests - click on the Info Request name or the Start Now button to open the Info Request
As you answer questions and upload documents, the completion percentage will increase
When you complete all items in the Info Request, it will be hidden from view, and you can click the Show complete Info Requests toggle to return it to view

Completing Info Requests

Most Info Requests will ask you to answer questions, or upload documents, or some combination of both
Questions will have a space to enter a response - just type your answer there!
Document uploads will have a Drag & Drop window - you can drag files over from your desktop, and drop them into this space
Alternatively, click on the icon to open your file menu, choose the files you need, and select Open to drop them into the SideDrawer

Some Info Requests will include tables, where you can add rows as necessary
Fill out the details requested in each column, then click on Add row as many times as needed
For example, in the table below, you would add rows and fill out details for each individual in the household

Saving an Info Request

SideDrawer will save your progress in an Info Request as you work on it, updating the completion percentage

You can also scroll to the bottom of the Info Request, and select Save progress, to update your progress manually

Click on Save Info Request as PDF to save a .pdf copy of your filled-out Info Request in your SideDrawer

Use the Tile icon on the left to choose which Tile you want to save the .pdf file in
The Record Name will automatically enter the name of the Info Request - customize the Record name by typing in this line

Click Confirm when you're done, and the new file will be saved in your SideDrawer!

And that's it!

Your professional will be able to track your progress from their SideDrawer Console, and may check in or send reminders as needed
