What is an Info Request?

Info Requests are a tool that professionals can use in SideDrawer to ask you for information and files
If you were invited to SideDrawer by a professional such as an estate planner or wealth manager, they can use Info Request to collect demographic and Know Your Customer details, or to invite you to upload important files such as tax records, wills, or insurance policies

The data and files are stored directly in SideDrawer, keeping your information secure and private

Where can I see Info Requests?

When your professional sends an Info Request, you'll first get an email notification, advising you that the request has been sent.
Click on the link in the email to navigate to the SideDrawer login page, and then directly to the Info Request in your SideDrawer

If you have new Info Requests, you'll also see the red notification icon when you log into your SideDrawer:

The Info Requests screen in your SideDrawer will show all current Info Requests

The red notification icon on the left indicates how many Info Requests have not been started yet

Each Info Request has its own unique name, which appears in bold

On the far right, you will see a percentage, showing how much of the Info Request you have completed.
The Start Now! message will appear for any Info Requests you haven't started yet

SideDrawer automatically hides Info Requests once you've completed them, to keep the view uncluttered.
If you want to look at an Info Request you've completed, toggle the Show complete Info Requests switch at the top right, and all completed Info Requests will display

How do I complete an Info Request?

  1. Answering questions
Many Info Requests ask you for information about yourself - just fill in the details as requested!
Some questions will specify a format for your answer (a date, an address, an amount)

As you answer the questions, SideDrawer will save your responses and update your completion percentage
Each question may be mandatory or optional - only mandatory questions will count toward the completion percentage

Most answers will be simple fill-in-the-blanks - depending on your professional's requests, you may also see more involved questions, with multiple choice, table options, or surveys
Just follow the directions in the Info Request, and fill out the information as appropriate

  2. Uploading files
Your professional may also use the Info Request to ask you for important files, such as identification, insurance policies, or financial files

    A file request will include:
    1. The Tile in your SideDrawer that the file will be saved to
(hover over the icon to see the Tile name)
    2. A description of the file being requested
    3. Magnifying glass icon to search for existing Records - more on this below
    4. Drag & Drop icon - click here to upload a file directly

You can drag files directly from a folder, and drop them in this line:

SideDrawer will create a new Record in the specified Tile, and save the files there
The new Record's name will be the SideDrawer name + the description in the Info Request
You can use the pencil icon to edit the Record name

If you upload files separately, each one will create a separate Record
You can then drag & drop files to the appropriate Record

If you want to upload the file to a Record that already exists in your SideDrawer, click on the magnifying glass icon
In the Attach Record(s) searchbar, enter the name of the existing Record, then select it from the drop-down

The existing Record will be added to the list in the Info Request, and you can upload files to it using drag & drop

(note that the existing Record can be in any Tile)

Note: you may not always see the magnifying glass icon
Some Info Requests are set up to only let you upload files to a single Record, created within the Info Request
