How to edit a Record

Learn how to modify the contents of Records. Make sure you have the right permissions for the record before you get started!

How to edit a Record

Records can be updated and modified by any User who has ‘Edit’ access. Any changes are Recorded in Timeline (click here to see Timeline).

In the example below we are going to edit the Driver’s License record in Identity Documents:

Step 1: Access the Tile the Record is located

In this example, we will access the Identity Document Tile to see the Record we are looking to update.

In this example, we will see the Record called Support Driver's Lincense

Step 2: Access the Record and Edit

When accessing the Record, you will see all the available information in a ‘View’ screen. Select ‘Edit’ to see all available fields to update or edit

Step 3: Edit the required content

Edit any of the following content:

  • The Name or Type of the Record

  • Files

  • Collaborators

  • Reminders

  • Or additional Information including

    • Description or location

    • Links to other Records

    • Custom fields or Recommended fields (eg. Expiry date)

Once complete ‘Save’ if you are satisfied, or ‘Cancel’ to omit changes
