SideDrawer has introduced the ability to give clients the option to select a customizable text field (ex. Other) and input their own information. If they opt to use this text field you can mandate they add text or make it optional.

Step 1

Access an exiting info request or create a new request to see the new multiple / single option fields

Step 2

Create a Multiple or Single Option question within your info request.

In this example we will use the single option question.

Step 3

Provide some flexibility in the options using the fields.

  • In this example the “Must complete” was selected. If the user selects the option “Other” they will be forced to enter text in the field next to the option “Other”.

  • Selecting “Must complete” forces the user to enter additional text in the customer answer field. If “Must Complete” is not selected, the user will not be forced to enter additional text in the customer answer field.

Once sent the client will have the ability to fill in the ‘Other’ field. In this example (as per above) we mandated that add text if they are utilizing the ‘Other’ option in the question.

When selecting the editable field, they will be prompted to complete the text if it is mandatory

If the user tried to save the request without completing a mandatory text field, they will be prompted to complete it

Once complete you can save the request to complete the question
