How do I ensure both myself and my clients receive notifications from activity in a SideDrawer:

First ensure the appropriate message is turned on in your Tenant:

Step 1: Navigate to Console -> Settings -> Custom Messages:

Step 2: Turn on unreadNotifications

Who receives notifications when “unreadNotifications” is on:

Users who either Own, Edit or View a SideDrawer (or a Record within a SideDrawer) can receive notifications for changes.

  • The User must have access to the area of the SideDrawer that was updated

  • The message they receive is a batch email of all changes by a User every hour

  • The message contains a log of all changes by a User in which the details are similar to what is found in the Timeline of the SideDrawer (see this article for an explanation of the SideDrawer Timeline)

  • Users do not get updates on actions they complete themselves

Ex. Different Users have access to the SideDrawer
